Those in the Doylestown area can enjoy furry friends with their coffee at the new MeWow Cat Cafe, writes Morgan Suppes for WFMZ.
The cat cafe recently moved to a new location in Doylestown after needing to expand due to its increasing popularity. The owner, Eilene Kramer, is excited to welcome locals to the new space.
Their menu features a selection of coffees and teas as well as a range of sweet treats from local bakeries.
MeWow Cafe was first opened in 2019 and became a source of comfort for many.
“I already knew what a cat could do, for hurting soul or for somebody who needed companionship, but since then I’ve seen the amazing power that these cats have had on people,” said Kramer.
The cafe works with four animal rescue groups in the surrounding area, bringing in kittens and cats available for adoption. So far, the cafe has helped 600 cats find their forever homes.
Customers can step into one of two cuddle rooms to play with any of the cafe’s 17 cats.
“You watch people come through the door, the first thing they see are those kittens, and they’re just immediately happy, and they’re immediately involved,” said Kramer.
