Get Your Cute Cat Fix at the Cat Nook Café and Help a Local Rescue

Thinking of adopting a cat but don’t know where to start?

Or maybe you just like to hang around cats. If so, The Cat Nook Cafe in Norwood can help, writes Dan Sheridan for 6abc.

The local non-profit Café invites guests just to come in and share some space with friendly foster felines.

The Cat Nook Cafe is an interactive foster home where people can get a cup of coffee or a snack while visiting adoptable cats and supporting a local rescue.

“This is the best way to improve your mood and brighten your day,” said Lisa Walker, co-manager of the café

On one side, the space is set up like a living room, with a TV, couches, comfy chairs, and lots of cat toys.

“The personalities really shine through in a more casual environment as opposed to a cage,” Walker said.

Visitors are encouraged to pet, brush, and play with the cats and to form a connection with the animals, said café manager Jeanna Uranko.

There’s also a café side with K-Cups, snacks, and cat-oriented merchandise.

All the cats rescued come from the Tri-state area, including Delaware County
