Dunwoody Village in Newtown Square announces that Jean DiStefano, a dedicated Lead Receptionist at Dunwoody for 12 years, has been awarded a scholarship through LeadingAge PA’s 2025 Professional Development Scholarship Program.
DiStefano is one of 31 recipients in Pennsylvania to receive this honor, which supports employees from LeadingAge PA member communities as they pursue degrees, certifications, or continuing education in the aging services sector.
Curt Sayers, Dunwoody Village’s director of Human Resources, praised DiStefano as deserving of this recognition.
“She embodies our organization’s vision of ‘One Dunwoody’ with her steadfast commitment to our residents and her colleagues,” Sayers said.
“Her quest of continuing to be a lifelong learner is admirable – whether it’s traveling the world, studying music/voice, fundraising for the charity she founded in memory of her beloved mother, or learning to ride a skateboard. Not even the sky is her limit!”
The LeadingAge PA scholarship program is designed to strengthen Pennsylvania’s aging services workforce by investing in those who are building long-term careers in the field.
