Newsweek Just Found Something Else that Wawa Is Good At

See how Wawa got noticed in a recent Newsweek survey.

When it comes to having a diverse workforce, Wawa joins eight convenience store retailers in the nation for top workplace diversity, writes Angela Hanson for Convenience Store News.

The convenience stores on the list foster environments that employ people from a variety of backgrounds.

The convenience stores that made the for 2025, in addition to Delaware County’s Wawa, are:

Cumberland Farms, Kwik Trip Inc., Maverik — Adventure’s First Stop, Murphy USA, Pilot Flying J, QuikTrip Corp., and RaceTrac Inc.

That’s according to Newsweek’s third annual “America’s Greatest Workplaces for Diversity 2025.”

The list was compiled by Newsweek and the market data research firm Plant-A Insights Group.

According to Newsweek, diversity plays an important role in attracting and retaining talent . since people want to work where  they are seen and valued.

The Newsweek and Plant-A Insights Group scoring included researching publicly accessible data, interviews with HR professionals and large-scale online surveys with employees form U.S. companies that employed more than 1,000 employees in 2024.

This year’s study featured more than 339,000 employee interviews in the U.S. and more than 4.8 million comprehensive company reviews from the last three years.
