Stacker discovered that five Delaware County towns are tops among suburbs in the Philadelphia area.

Public and private schools in each town received A+ or A grades. Outdoor activities also received an A grade.

Swarthmore Borough ranked the 4th best suburb to live in, with median home values of $504,900 and a median rental price of $1,376.

It received a B- for weather and a C+ for cost of living.

Rose Valley ranked 6th, with median home values of $679,700, and a median rent of $3,250.

It earned a B each for weather and cost of living.

Nether Providence was 9th, with a median home value of $400,300, and a median rental price of $1,663.

It received a B for weather and a C+ for cost of living.

Haverford Township ranked 18th, with median home values of $413,000 and a median rental price of $1,584.

It only received a B- for weather and a C+ for cost of living.

Radnor Township ranked 20th, with median home values of $762,400 and a median rental price of $1,795.

It only received a C+ for weather and a C for cost of living.
