Delaware County Colleges Remain Tops on National Lists

Delaware County colleges continue to place well on various national lists.

The best 100 colleges in the United States include three from Delaware County, according to the Wall Street Journal.

A list ranking the top 400 public and private colleges in the U.S. was released Sept. 6, known as The Wall Street Journal/College Pulse 2024 Best Colleges in the U.S. list,

Swarthmore College just missed making the top 10, coming in at No. 11 in the nation.

Haverford College made it into the top 50 this year, ranking at No. 41 with high marks in student salary outcomes and learning facilities, according to Rya Mulligan at Philadelphia Business Journal.

Villanova University ranked at No. 62.

The same three Delaware County schools also placed well in Niche’s top US College list released in August. 

On that list, Swarthmore College placed 31st out of 100 in the nation.  Haverford College was 51st, and Villanova University placed 69th out of 100.

The Wall Street Journal last released college rankings in 2022. At that time, Swarthmore College placed 29th. Haverford College placed 36th and Villanova University came in at No. 128.
