Wawa Sponsoring the DGM Racing Team at Daytona Speedway

Wawa is sponsoring a NASCAR race and a team this year at the Daytona International Speedway.

Wawa Inc. will sponsor the NASCAR Xfinity Series race and DGM Racing as NASCAR returns to Daytona International Speedway, writes the staff for Speedway Digest.

Wawa is expanding its presence in Daytona, partnering with the Florida-based team, DGM Racing, which has had 45 starts at the Speedway in the last decade.

“Being a family and associate-owned company, we are proud to partner with a race team that understands the value of family and shares a passion for winning,” said Kevin McGirth, Wawa’s New & Emerging Markets manager.

DGM Racing is NASCAR’s only full-time team based in Florida. Its shop is less than 10 miles from Wawa’s Lake Wales location.

“It’s easy to represent a brand that our team actually loves,” said DGM Team owner Mario Gosselin. “Our local Wawa fuels our early mornings and late nights whether we are working on race cars at the shop or traveling the country to our next race.”

“We’re thrilled to represent the Wawa colors as we tackle our home track in Daytona,” Gosselin said.

This is Wawa’s first primary sponsorship of DGM Racing, but it has been a team sponsor at several races. It sponsored the season-opener at Daytona.
