NASCAR Legends Join Axalta for Grand Opening of Customer Experience Center

Axalta Coating Systems opened its new and extensive Customer Experience Center in Concord, N.C, with the help of a few special guests, including NASCAR legend Jeff Gordon, right.

Axalta Coating Systems, which has its U.S. headquarters in Glen Mills, opened its new Customer Experience Center last month in Concord, N.C., and brought out a few special guests for the occasion.

The leading worldwide supplier of liquid and powder coatings also held a press conference and provided a tour of its new facility during the event.

The opening was officiated by Charlie Shaver, Axalta’s Chairman and CEO, and Michael Carr, Axalta’s President for North America. NASCAR legend Jeff Gordon and Rick Hendrick, owner of the esteemed Hendrick Motorsports, appeared as scheduled guests.

The company’s new Customer Experience Center is a training and conference complex that spans 36,000 square feet. It’s designed to serve Axalta’s refinish, transportation OEM, and industrial customers.

The newly opened facility is on the Hendrick Motorsports campus. This puts it right in the heart of some of the world’s finest automotive technology and expertise.

Among the many services that it offers, the Center features a pair of state-of-the-art paint application centers and a collaborative mixing lab, as well as an exhibition lobby. This gives visitors the chance to witness the extraordinary depth and breadth of Axalta’s technology.
