Marple Public House got noticed for its Lunch Lady Sloppy Joe.

Philadelphia Magazine published its Best of Philly Food & Drink list, which includes unique food offerings at four Delaware County establishments.

Seabrisket

Best Surf and Turf went to the Seabrisket at Wilson’s Secret Sauce in Upper Darby.

The Seabrisket from Pitmaster Steve Wilson, is a toasted roll rubbed with garlic and butter, containing house-smoked brisket and chunks of lobster, topped with Cooper Sharp cheese.

You can find Wilson’s Secret Sauce at 265 E. Township Line Road.

Lunch Lady Sloppy Joe

Best Nostalgia went to the Lunch Lady Sloppy Joe found at Marple Township’s first bar, Marple Public House at 31 N. Sproul Road in Broomall.

Beyond a mere Manwich, this ‘Best of Philly’ Sloppy Joe features homemade pickles and a grilled potato bun.

Vittles Food Hall

A newcomer to the scene, Vittles Food Hall, a nonprofit created by Everybody Eats, at 801 Sproul Street in Chester took Best Food Hall.

You’ll find everything from seafood to diner-style comfort food and soul food.

Crisp Chik’n

Crisp Chik’n in Lansdowne had the unique distinction of winning the Best Alternative to Chick-Fil-A award.

This year-old establishment at 27 N. Lansdowne Ave. has similar offerings to Chick-Fil-A, but better, the magazine writes.
