This 1930s Haverford Tudor Among 10 Most Expensive Sold in 2024
A breathtaking 1930s Haverford Tudor home is one of the 10 most expensive homes sold so far this year in the Philadelphia region, writes Ryan Mulligan for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
The 1.3-acre property on Blakeley Road ranked at No. 7 on the list of top home sales. The home that boasts nearly 10,000 square feet of living spaces sold July 31 for $4.65 million.
The private, gated grounds include a pool, spa, terraces, specimen plantings.
The Haverford Tudor is perfectly situated in the coveted Merion Golf neighborhood and is close to world class schools and universities.
The interior contains restored original architectural features, millwork, and molding. It includes an expanded gourmet kitchen, a butler’s pantry with storage for custom wines, a family room with a soaring ceiling and a sunroom with a wet bar.
All but one of the top 25 top sales so far in the Philadelphia region happened in Philadelphia and its surrounding collar counties in Pennsylvania.
The most expensive transaction to have taken place so far in 2024, though, was the sale of a sprawling 152-acre estate in Wilmington’s Centreville-Greenville area.
That property sold for $18 million.
