Tim Livingstone Hopes to Bring Stability to Strath Haven Basketball

Tim Livingstone has coached with PSB Philly for the last four years and recently became Strath Haven's boys basketball coach.

It’s been generally agreed that coaching inconsistency has affected the success of the Strath Haven High School boys basketball team, writes Jeff Griffith for City of Basketball Love, as reported in The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Now that Tim Livingstone is on board as the Panther’s newly-appointed coach, there’s hope that will change.

In the 2021-22 season, the Panthers had a 5-15 record, improving slightly in 2022-23, at 9-13.

In 2023-24, Strath Haven won its first contest, then lost the remaining 19.

The team has had three coaches in seven years since Dave Mcfadden left in 2017.

Livingstone, a long time Wallingford-Swarthmore School District parent, is willing to invest in Strath Haven and plans to stay put.

“There’s so many great kids in this area, and they deserve someone that’s dedicated to being here and showing up every single day and being there for the long term. That’s my goal and plan.”

Strath Haven has highly successful football and baseball programs, so there’s plenty of talent.

Livingstone notes that both of those programs have had the same head coaches for decades.
