Seeking Pennsylvania’s Top Colleges? 3 Are in Delaware County

This Delaware County school made a top 50 national list for having the best college investment returns.

Delaware County has a respectable three out of the 10 top colleges in Pennsylvania, according to statistics put together by Stacker, as reported at msn.com.

The Delaware County college ranking the highest on the top 10 list was Swarthmore College, which pulled in at No. 3, just below University of Pennsylvania and Carnegie Mellon University.

Swarthmore’s net price to attend is $19,733, with an acceptance rate of 8 percent and students with an SAT range of 1430 to 1560.

Villanova placed at No. 4 on the list. The university’s net price to attend is $33,123, with an acceptance rate of 25 percent, and students that have an SAT range of 1350 to 1490. 

Haverford College came in at No. 5 on the top 10 list. It will cost students $24,462 to attend, with an acceptance rate of 18 percent and a student SAT range of 1420 to 1540.

By comparison, Penn State placed at No. 8 on the list  with Bryn Mawr College coming in at No. 10.

University of Pennsylvania, at No. 1, has a net price of $14,578, an acceptance rate of 6 percent and an SAT range for its students between 1480 and 1570
