2 Delaware County Middle Schools Are in the Top 25 in the State, Niche Says

Two Delaware County middle schools made Niche's top 25 list for Pennsylvania.

Two Delaware County middle schools made it onto a list of the top 25 middle schools in Pennsylvania, as compiled by Niche, writes Matt DiSanto for Centre Daily Times, reported at Yahoo!news.

Niche is a website with data on schools and colleges across the country.

Radnor Middle School in Wayne was the highest ranked middle school from Delaware County coming in at No. 3.

It received an A+ overall, an A+ in academics, an A+P in teachers and a B+ in diversity.

Radnor Middle School has 828 students with an 11-to-1 student-to-teacher ratio.  On standardized tests, 63 percent of students are proficient in math, while 87 percent are proficient in reading.

Strath Haven Middle School in Wallingford also placed on the list, coming in at No. 20. It received an A grade overall, an A in academics, an A+ in teachers and a B+ in diversity.

It has 863 students with a 12-to-1 student-to-teacher ratio. On standardized tests, 47 percent of students are proficient in math, while 71 percent are proficient in reading.

Niche comes up with its rankings using reviews and data from the U.S. Department of Education, the U.S. Census, Civil Rights Data Collection and more.
