Media continues to be an eclectic, renter-friendly borough community of about 6,000 residents.
While there are plenty of amenities to enjoy from a Media lifestyle, it may be its proximity to Philadelphia that makes it a top pick for many of its residents. The borough is only a half-hour commuter train ride to the city.
While in Media, residents can enjoy a walkable borough with culture shopping and dining all available downtown, while they commune with nature nearby.
Ridley Creek State Park is a 10-minute drive from town with miles of hiking and horse-riding trails, along with a well-stocked creek for fishing.
Farmers markets provide cheap, fresh produce while Media’s many restaurant provide a multi-cultural culinary experience.
Media has a low unemployment rate of 2.7 percent and a median income that beats Pennsylvania’s average.
Homes have a median listing price of $300,000, while its schools turn out students that perform 27 percent higher on the state average in math and reading tests.
