SAP North America is asking its Newtown Square workers to return to the office three days a week.

SAP, the world’s largest software company, with its North American headquarters in Newtown Square, has issued a “return-to-office” mandate, translating into 3,360 employees returning to the Newtown Square facility three days a week starting at the end of April.

SAP North America President Lloyd Adams said staff feedback has largely been positive, writes Ryan Mulligan for Philadelphia Business Journal.

Adams believes having workers back in the office combined with a global restructuring of SAP will drive innovation.

SAP is “anchoring even further into our return-to-office guidance to further drive innovation and to really support the community,” he said.

Adams, with the North American SAP branch for 26 years, thinks that “striking the right balance between remote and on-site work helps drive productivity, innovation, and employee wellbeing.”

.”We’re sensitive to how we do this and that we do this as empathetically as possible,” he said.

SAP occupies more than 200,000 square feet on West Chester Pike. Adams wants to grow SAP’s local impact, working with academic and research institutions in the Philadelphia area.

Ultimately, he wants to see the company “doing whatever we can to further establish ourselves as one of the leading brands in this area.”
