Bristol-Raised Mike Missanelli Eyes Return to 97.5 The Fanatic Amid Station’s Talent Overhaul
Bristol’s Mike Missanelli could be returning to Philadelphia sports talk radio station 97.5 The Fanatic, which is currently in the process of reshuffling its on-air talent, writes Michael Potter for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
Starting this week, the Beasley Media Group station has paired Andrew Salciunas and morning show host John Kincade and reassigned Kincade’s morning co-hosts to other shifts.
The moves were made by The Fanatic’s new program director Scott Masteller and they have opened the way for the possible addition of high-profile talent.
Masteller, who had been consulting for The Fanatic before he stepped in as program director in January, confirmed that the station has been in talks with Missanelli about his possible return. The station and its former ratings king split unceremoniously in 2022.
“Nothing has happened yet, but he’s one of a number of people that have had conversations with us and we’ll see where it goes,” said Masteller.
Since leaving The Fanatic, Missanelli has worked as a host for Rush Street Interactive and JAKIB Media.
