The Flight on Ice skating rink in Newtown Square is back for another season.

The Flight on Ice skating rink is back for its third year, opening Nov. 24 at 4 PM.  The rink will be open through Feb. 25.

This year, the Energy Transfer Veterans Memorial Rink at 4901 West Chester Pike will also feature the Tired Hands Winter Beer Park in partnership with Tired Hands Brewery.

A portion of proceeds from Flight on Ice activities will benefit Delaware County veterans through the Delaware County Veterans Memorial Association.

To date, Flight on Ice, with the help of Energy Transfer and its various sponsors, has raised over $55,000 for the DCVMA, supporting local veterans and the Memorial Site located a few blocks from the rink.

“We are thrilled to see valued partners like Flight on Ice, Tired Hands, and the DCVMA come together to offer our community a truly special winter attraction,” said Steve Byrne, executive director of Visit Delco.

Local businesses can support the rink’s boost to the local tourism economy while helping local veterans by joining in as a sponsor at info@flight-entertainment.com.

Flight on Ice’s Newtown Square Rink debuted in 2021. The family-friendly rink has delighted thousands of visitors, garnering “Best of Delco 2022” and “2023 Fun Day Family Outing” honors.

This year’s amenities include rotating food trucks, a kid’s zone with moon bounces, heated tents, a large LED TV display, fire pits, and open-air gazebos.

Hot dogs, nachos, pretzels, popcorn, candy, coffee, hot chocolate, beer, wine and spirits are all available.

Tired Hands will offer the same beer menu from the summer.

Flight on Ice promises an array of activities. There will be an annual tree lighting, an Eagles Autism Skate, Santa on a Firetruck and Santa on Ice Days, Silent Headphone Skate Parties, Holiday Movie Nights, a Country Christmas with Audra McLaughlin, a Delco Christmas Party with DJ Jay Roy and a Kids Noon Year’s Eve Party on Dec. 31.
