Chris Long has heard all the talk surrounding the Philadelphia Eagles’ use of the “Tush Push” or “Brotherly Shove,” and has his own thoughts about it, writes TMZ.

In recent seasons, the Eagles have heavily used the play to get first downs and score touchdowns.

This has caused some criticism from fans, players, and team personnel alike with some even calling for the NFL to ban it. 

Long played 11 seasons in the NFL, including his final two seasons with the Eagles where he won his second Super Bowl ring. 

Despite it being a vastly different team and coaching staff, Long is well aware of how the Eagles play and are thought of.

“I think people are just mad at Philly. No one likes us,” he said. 

As a former defensive player, rather than looking to the league’s higher-ups to get the play banned, Long believes team executives should simply draft bigger players or avoid third- and fourth-down-and-short plays against the Eagles. 

“If you don’t like it, stop it,” said Long. 

The play will likely continue to be a topic of discussion so long as the Eagles continue using it to effect.
