Pennsylvania Woman, Entrepreneur Seeking to Trademark the Tush Push

Hershey-based serial entrepreneur Deanna Slamans filed an application to trademark the tush push back in November 2023.

Deanna Slamans, a graphic designer and serial e-commerce entrepreneur based out of Hershey, Pennsylvania, is seeking to trademark the “tush push,” write Daniel Libit and Michael McCann for Sportico.

She initially filed her application in November 2023, just weeks before the Philadelphia Eagles submitted their trademark application.

Earlier this month, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) gave a suspension notice on the Eagles’ application due to Slamans filing hers first.

Shamans is also the owner of TushPush.com, which showcases her large collection of themed merchandise. This includes shirts, onesies, Christmas ornaments, and a variety of other memorabilia.

As it pertains to the trademark, neither the Eagles, the NFL, nor any other party have filed a formal opposition to Slaman.

Therefore, she has six months to either show proof of commercial use or request an extension on the matter.

During a phone interview with Sportico, Slamans noted that she didn’t file the trademark application with an intent to sell it. Furthermore, she tried reaching out to the Eagles during the early part of the process, but never heard back from the team.
