Area Man, Former Eagles Owner Among World’s Auto Industry Giants

According to Forbes 2023 ranking of the richest people in the world, seventy-three of 2,640 billionaires are in the automotive industry, including West Chester native Norman Braman, writes Nick Bunkley for Automotive News.

Braman started as a water boy for the Philadelphia Eagles, eventually buying the team in 1985 and selling it in 1994. As an American dealer, he has dabbled in the art world, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics, and also the automotive industry.

At 90-years-old, Braman is ranked at No. 982 for the richest people in the world with a net worth of $3 billion. This is his highest net worth since 2018.

Currently, he runs Braman Motorcars, one of the largest car dealerships in Florida with a an annual revenue of $2 billion. The dealership specializes in new or used Bentley, BMW, Porche, and Rolls-Royce cars.
