Jacquette's Bakery in Broomall is once again offering Phillies-themed baked goods, like its popular Phillies Phanatic cupcakes.

Jacquette’s Bakery in Broomall has come up with a different way to show its support for the Philadelphia Phillies.

Baked goods.

The Phillies are in the National League Championship Series against the Arizona Diamondbacks, so there’s a lot of interest in the bakery’s Phillies Phanatic cupcakes and “Dancing on My Own” cookies, writes Wakisha Bailey and Joe Bandt for CBS News Philadelphia.

The Phanatic cupcakes are a particular customer favorite, with about 1,000 cupcakes selling each week.

Manager and pastry chef Gabriella Messina is putting in about 70 hours a week to keep up with demand.

The family-owned bakery started its Phillies-themed products last year when there was a big demand from the Phillies winning the National League pennant against the Padres, then going on to the World Series to face the Houston Astros.

“This year, everyone was asking us, ‘When are we going to have them back?’ And so we started extra early this year,” Messina said.

The sports-themed desserts are attracting new customers along with the regulars.

“This is definitely making a huge impact for us,” Messina said. “Our sales have increased about 20 percent over the last couple of weeks,” Messina said.
