For those who are looking to go on a road trip that includes driving through areas with stunning vistas and plenty of other sightseeing spots, World Atlas has compiled a list of the eleven most scenic road trips to take in Pennsylvania. One of these is close to home.
Brandywine Valley Byway stretches 12 miles from Chadds Ford to the historic city of Wilmington, Delaware. The route winds its way through the beautiful landscapes of southeastern Pennsylvania that are guaranteed to impress everyone.
Start the trip by checking out the Brandywine River Museum of Art in Chadds Ford, where you can see an extensive collection of American art, including artworks by Andrew Wyeth.
Continue to Kennett Square’s Longwood Gardens, a horticultural wonderland filled with meticulously landscaped gardens and conservatories.
While driving, you will pass by the village of Centerville, which boasts beautifully preserved 18th-century structures and quaint shops. And when you near Wilmington, you will reach the Nemours Estate, which offers a glimpse into the Gilded Age.
