The Fairville Inn

The Fairville Inn, located in the Brandywine Valley in Chadds Ford, was celebrated as a winter weekend destination for folks in Maryland but it’s a treat anyone can enjoy, even those local to the Philadelphia region.

The Fairville is a few miles from Longwood Gardens and Winterthur, both “botanical wonderlands that are all the more stunning during the holidays when festooned in seasonal finery”, writes Christine Koubek Flynn for Bethesda Magazine.

The inn has 10 guest rooms and suites in two buildings next to a manicured courtyard and grand trees.

It was renovated in 2020 with casually elegant furnishings and new tiled bathrooms.

You’ll find fireplaces and porches overlooking the hillside in some rooms.

Suites have sitting rooms, plus an in-room coffee station and Frette bathrobes.

The Colonial building at 506 Kennett Pike provides a coffee, tea and snack bar, a dining room and a living area with scented candles.

Breakfast choices include pumpkin pancakes with maple cinnamon butter and a fried egg tartine.

Nearby, at the Brew HaHa in Greenville, guests will find god coffee and sandwiches, or can try the pizza and salads at Pizza by Elizabeths while listening to live music.
