Media Little League Honored at Citizen’s Park During Phillies Game

The Media Little League was honored at Citizen's Bank Park Monday during a Philadelphia Phillies game for their hard work making it to the Little League World Series.

The Media Little League team was honored at Citizen’s Bank Park Monday night during the Philadelphia Phillies game against the Los Angeles Angels after they received a Phillies invitation to visit, reports Jamie Apody for 6abc.

The team had a chance to watch batting practice earlier in the day and to talk with several members of the Phillies team.

At one point, Bryson Stott and Garrett Stubbs came over and signed autographs for the boys.

Both players also recorded messages to the boys’ principal to try and get them out of the summer homework assignment the players missed because of practice and the games, Apody reported.

Bryce Harper, who just hit his 300th home run, talked to the Media team at the Little League World Series in Williamsport after their loss to Rhode Island.

Harper continued to heap praise on the team.

“They did a great job. They should be proud of the success that they did have,” he said. “It’s going to be cool tonight to show our support for them, our fans as well, because they did have such a great summer. That’s something they’ll always remember.”
