Now that the Media Little League is back home, they are turning their energies on raising money for lighting at their sports complex.

The Media Little League team is back home in Delco after their run in Williamsport ended sooner than anyone wanted, and now they need your help, reports Jennaphr Frederick for Fox 29 News.

The team is raising funds for a $200,000 project to install lights at their complex. The team has raised about $95,000 so far.

“We’re trying to get lights here, and we’ve been doing fundraisers and all kinds of stuff, trying to get it, over the last couple of years.” Manager Tom Bradley explained.

The Media Little League also reflected on their World Series experience. Asked how it felt when they discovered the Philadelphia Phillies were watching their game, one of the players said, “I was like, ‘Wow, the Phillies are actually watching us, not the other way around.’”

Bradley also thanked the boys’ mothers for the sacrifice they made helping the team get to Williamsport.

“They were running them back and forth to practices,” Bradley said. “They were coming in the morning, coming back in the evening. It was a lot of work.

Those practices even extended into the Fourth of July weekend when everyone wanted to hit the beach, Bradley said.
