Family-Owned Broomall Business Creates T-Shirts Supporting Media Little League

B&E Sportswear has mad 1,000 T-shirts for fans of the Media Little League.

A Broomall company has made nearly 1,000 T-shirts for fans of the Media Little League team as they make their appearance today in the first game at the Little League World Series in Williamsport, writes Marcella Baietto for CBS News Philadelphia.

The family-owned business, B&E Sportswear, has been supporting the team from the beginning.

“We’ve done a bunch of things with them throughout the year, especially during the tournament season, first winning Districts, then winning State, and now winning the Mid-Atlantic,” said B&E Sportswear owner Bill McDevitt.

The first batch of four dozen “Delco vs. the World” T-shirts went through the screen-printing process Monday morning.

“The artwork was created by the customer,” Michael Cloran, the print shop manager, said. “We then turn that artwork into a stencil and put it on a screen. And from the screen, we place it on the machine.”

A much bigger run of 800 to 900 shirts was done Tuesday.

“It’s baseball. It’s Americana. I love it. Personally, baseball is my favorite sport. I think it’s great. Media is a great town, and I’m really pulling for them,” McDevitt said.
