If you’re ending up at the same restaurants or ordering pizza and hoagies as your go-to meal, there are ways to vary your local culinary routine with plenty of options in the Philadelphia region, like H Mart in Upper Darby, writes Maddy Sweitzer-Lamme and Hannah Albertine for Philadelphia Magazine.

A list compiled by the magazine gives readers something different from the “sit, eat, leave” experience. These food establishments either offer an unexpected setting or interactive dining.

The H Mart supermarket at 7050 Terminal Square in Upper Darby isn’t the only H Mart around, but it’s the one with the food court.

Asian food makes up most of the offerings in this supermarket, though you’ll find Latin and Caribbean specialty items as well.

The food court, with stalls and a central seating area, is one flight up from the grocery section.

It mostly has Korean food so fill up a tray with fried mandu, chilled and slurpy naengmyeon, vats of sundubu-jjigae and more.

Some stalls have Chinese and Japanese-influenced offerings as well.

The pork Katsu omurice from Mong Shil Ton Tong and the jajangmyeon from Joonghwa Roo are worth the trip.
