Even with the housing market cooling in the Philadelphia region there are still two ZIP codes in Delaware County where home sales were quick and demand high as of January, writes Ryan Mulligan for Philadelphia Business Journal.

The Journal listed 12 ZIP codes with higher housing turnover.  Marcus Hook, at ZIP Code 19061, tied for eighth place on the list with Royersford. 

It is seeing homes on the market for 34 median days with a median list price of $20,200.

The Glen Mills ZIP Code 19342, was 10^th on the list, tied with Marlton, New Jersey. It had homes on the market for 35 median days with a median list price of $1,100,000.

Homes in the Philadelphia region are staying on the market for an average of 73 days as of January, according to data from Realtor.com.

 The region is below the national median of 75 days.

Housing activity in the Philadelphia region is at its lowest levels since 2014.

The number of sellers in the region who reduced their home prices in January was nearly 2,700 as opposed to only 330 who raised prices from their original asking price, according to Realtor.com data.
