A localized Mummer’s parade, known as the D’Dummers Parade, strut its stuff for the third year in Ridley Park, as it raised money for 4-year-old Vincent Nowroozi, who is battling cancer, writes Peg DeGrassa for the Daily Times.

Hundreds turned out Saturday dressed in Mummers costumes, Halloween costumes, and other crazy outfits. By the end, the community had raised $4,300 for the #Victory4Vincent fund.

Mummers tunes and the Rocky theme song blared from speakers as a few Mummers struts were showcased, with an honorary shout-out to Irma Dolan, the matriarch of Dolan’s Bar. An after-party followed at Dolan’s Bar on Sellers Avenue.

“Victory 4 Vincent and D’Dummers NYB were a smash hit. I can’t even begin to thank everyone who helped out!” owner PJ Dolan commented.

Vincent has Atypical Rhabdoid Tumors, a rare aggressive form of brain cancer. A “Victory 4 Vincent Facebook page has 39,000 followers.

The now traditional D’Dummers parade, which combines the words “Dolan’s”, “Delco” and “Mummers” began with a small strut through town to celebrate the new year in 2020 when the Mummers Parade was canceled by the pandemic.
