Cooks Who Care Release Cookbook Supporting Mental Health

By

Cooks Who Care, a not-for-profit organization based in Media founded by Maria and Scott Campbell, supports the health and well-being of food and beverage industry workers, reports New Jersey Stage.

Now it’s selling its first-ever cookbook, the Cooks Who Care Community Cookbook: Entertaining for Mental Health (Philly Edition).

Book sales will support mental health support services to food and beverage industry workers in the Greater Philadelphia region, including South Jersey and Delaware County.

The cookbook is a compilation of seasonal recipes and home entertaining ideas shared by chefs, mixologists, beverage professionals, and health experts.

“Nobody Knows,” a fundraising soiree, takes place Nov. 21, 6 to 9 PM at Stratus Rooftop Lounge in Philadelphia to raise funds for the printing and virtual/in-store launch of the cookbook.

The soiree includes complimentary food and beverages prepared by chefs and mixologists featured in the cookbook. The event includes raffles and prizes and a live auction.

“Nobody knows about mental health challenges (because they’re hidden), and nobody knows what it’s like to be in this business except us!  Let’s come together not just as an industry but as a community who cares.” said Maria Campbell.
