Drexel Hill’s Kevin “Steek” Cooper is no stranger to the Food Network.  In 2017, he won an episode of Cooks vs. Cons, in which home cooks competed against professionals, writes Michael Klein for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Now he’s one of seven contestants on Guy Fieri’s “Guy’s Chance of a Lifetime,” with a chance to win his own “Chicken Guy!“ franchise.

Cooper is the founder of the catering company Succulent Imagination, which provides in-home cooking lessons and demonstrations. You can also hire a private chef through Succulent Imagination to cook for you.

The Army veteran and National Guardsman earned a degree in restaurant management and culinary arts at the J&A Institute of Culinary Arts in South Philadelphia and worked at several restaurant venues.

It all started at age 9 when he turned a jar of generic peanut butter into peanut butter cookies.

Soon her mom got tired of peanut butter cookies every day.

“She told me to go into the kitchen and make anything I could think of without using peanut butter. Ever since then I’ve been cooking,” Cooper said in an executive chef profile at Paul’s Run Retirement Community.
