Everyone has their favorite comfort food, but now, thanks to comfortablefood.com, we know what the favorite comfort food is in Pennsylvania, writes Anne Erickson for wmmr.com.

The comfort food study lists the favorite comfort food for every state in America.

“Depending on where you stay in America, the comfort food peculiar to each state can turn your frown into a smile at first bite,” they stated in the article.

So what made the list in Pennsylvania?  No surprise here, especially for those of us living in the Philadelphia region.

It’s the cheesesteak.

“Cheesesteak is a delicious meal that has become the go-to for Pennsylvania residents on a daily basis. Eat with bell peppers, hot peppers, or mushrooms for yummy goodness,” the article stated.

The cheesesteak didn’t carry over into New Jersey, however. Over there, it’s the Taylor Ham sandwich.

“It’s a mix of pork rolls, cheese, and hamburger buns or toasted rye bread to give a blend of deliciousness.”

“America is a nation of comfort foods with a myriad of restaurants making our delicious dreams come true. It’s where you can indulge in any food you want without judgment,” the article stated.
