The leadership of Delaware County's new health department.

A state analysis reported by The Foundation for Delaware County shows we’re doing better compared to many other counties in Pennsylvania in health outcomes but there are still key areas the county needs to work on.

Delaware County is ranked 17 out of 67 Pennsylvania counties in health outcomes, making it among the healthiest counties in Pennsylvania.

This ranking for health outcomes reflects the county’s current state of health of its residents, and shows significant improvement over the last few years, as the county was ranked 47 just three years ago.

Despite this progress, there are key areas where Delaware County residents continue to face challenges to achieving optimal health, including income inequality, severe housing problems, and air pollution.

Delaware County is ranked 13th for health factors, which forecasts future health in the county compared to other counties in the state. This ranking shows a slight decline from 11 in health factors last year.
