Delaware County is represented on Forbes 2022 30 under 30 list this year, thanks to John Lim, a Swarthmore College graduate who went on to create party-oriented card games geared toward Asian-Americans, writes Ryan Mulligan for Philadelphia Business Journal.

There were 19 honorees from the region on this year’s list.

The Forbes list divided 600 people into groups of 30 across 20 different categories nationwide.

Local honorees succeeded in a variety of fields, from athletics to technology to financial experts.

John Lim, 27, who earned a bachelor of arts/science degree from Swarthmore College, is the founder of UGLY LLC, whose card game creations have netted his company more than $3 million in revenue.

The indie game studio produces card games for underrepresented communities.

John Lim created the best-selling Asian American card game AZN FLUSH and Puff Puff Pass for cannabis users as part of UGLY LLC. Varieties include The Anime Pack, and Fire Chicken Noodle Pack.

There’s also the Keep Face—Asian American Charades Game.

Lim created AZN Flush with $500, then went on to make $440,000 in year one with the game, $1.2 million in year two.

Lim also started the  “Stay The F*ck Inside”  fundraising project, which raised over $50,000 for Covid-19 relief.
