Forbes: SAP in Newtown Square Looks Like a Good Option for New College Graduates

By

SAP, headquartered in Newtown Square, came in among the top 100 companies in the United States as the best employers for new college graduates, writes Michael Potter for Philadelphia Business Journal.

The software provider was 90th on a Forbes list of 250 companies in total.

It was the only Delaware County firm to make the list.

Penn Medicine, Vanguard, Five Below, IKEA, University of Pennsylvania, and Merk & Co. were also on the list and have ties to the Philadelphia region.  Merck & Co. was first on the list.

The rankings are based on an anonymous survey of 20,000 Americans with less than 10 years of professional experience at companies with at least 1,000 employees.

The survey looked at competiveness of compensation, advancement opportunities, diversity and inclusion, and workplace safety.

About 45% of 2020 graduates are still looking for a job.  The right fit and mission of a company remains a high priority.

“Today’s graduates want more than the job,” said Mark Woodrum, head of campus recruiting at the healthcare technology company Philips, 6th on Forbes’ 2021 list. “They want to be part of a company that is making the world a better place.”
