If there’s one thing Delaware County needs, it’s a giant outdoor skating rink and winter village. Now, thanks to Flight on Ice, we’ve got it, writes Vince Carey for the Daily Times.

The pop up facility is coming to Newtown Square in December next to Bonefish Grill at 4889 West Chester Pike.

The brand new full-sized rink will provide ice skating, festive lighting and décor, light dining and hot cocoa, shopping, and special events. It will hang around until at least February of 2022.

Additional information, including individual ticket sales and special events, will be posted after Thanksgiving.

A portion of the proceeds benefit the Delaware County Veterans Memorial.

“Now, more than ever, we are proud to be a part of Delaware County and are thrilled to allow Flight on Ice to build the ice-skating rink on our property for the enjoyment of the community,” said Paul deBotton, of Marville, Edgmont Shopping Center.

“We wish to thank everyone who helped make this happen. As with the Delaware County Veterans Memorial, it is my hope that this location will unite family and friends.”
