An open house to showcase the Rose Tree Park Playground Design Project will be held on Monday, Oct. 18 from 4 to 6 p.m., at the pedestrian mall (by the flagpole) in Rose Tree Park located at 1671 N Providence Rd, in Media.

Residents are invited to learn about the new playground being planned for Rose Tree Park next year.

The open house will feature draft designs and concepts and residents are invited to give their ideas and input on the project.

County staff and professionals from the design consultant, Pennoni, will be on hand to take comments and answer questions on the displayed draft design concepts. Share your thoughts to help move the project forward!

The Rose Tree Park Playground and Pedestrian Mall expansion project generally follows the park’s master plan prepared in 2015.

It will include the following improvements:

  • A large “destination” playground in the center of the park, with sections for older and younger children
  • Extension of the existing concrete paved pedestrian mall and walkway
  • Related amenities, landscaping, and stormwater management.
