Mark your calendars for a special wedding ceremony for two therapy dogs Aug. 10 at Rose Tree Park in Media.

This PAWS for People fundraiser will celebrate the nuptials of Frangelica Meloni (the bride) and Shaggydog Stark (the groom), writes Jessica Bies for Delaware News Journal.

PAWS for People is a nonprofit that trains and certifies therapy pets for visits to hospitals, schools, libraries and more, including visits to the Delaware County Courthouse in Media.

Frangelica, from Chadds Ford, is part Maltese, Yorkie and Cairn terrier, with a “splash of Pomeranian.”

Shaggydog, from north Wilmington, is an 8.5-year-old Great Pyrenees mix, a mountain dog with tons of fluffy white fur.

The doggie couple made it “Facebook official” in May 2018, announcing online that they were “in a relationship.”

As a bit of a joke, Frangelica’s owner, Meloni,  suggested the two get married.

The event will include a large reception, live music, a silent auction, raffles, food trucks, a doggy kissing booth, face painting and more than 50 vendors.

There will also be two wedding cakes, one for humans and one for canines.

They are asking for donations to PAWS for People in lieu of gifts.
