5 Delaware County School Districts Among 50 Best for Athletes in PA for 2022

Delaware County is home to five of the 50 best school districts for athletes in Pennsylvania for 2022, according to a recently published ranking by Niche.

To determine the 2022 Best School Districts for Athletes in Pennsylvania, Niche analyzed data from the U.S. Department of Education as well as millions of reviews from students and parents. Factors considered include student and parent reviews of athletics, the number of offered sports, and the number of students participating in athletics, among others.

The highest-ranked Delaware County school district is Marple Newtown School District in No. 25, with an A Niche grade in sports as well as an A+ grade for resources and facilities. It has 3,503 students in grades K-12.

Wallingford-Swarthmore School District follows close behind in No. 27. The district scored an A in both sports and resources and facilities. It has 3,747 students in grades K-12.

Springfield School District is next in No. 31, followed by Garnet Valley School District in No. 38.

Springfield has 4,250 students in grades K-12.

Garnet Valley has 4,674 students in grades K-12.

The list is rounded out by Radnor Township School District at No. 41. It has 3,799 students in grades K-12.
