This Local Community College is Among the Best in Pennsylvania

WalletHub has released a report listing which community college in Pennsylvania is among the top five best and one in Delaware County made the list, according to WalletHub.

WalletHub set out to determine where students can receive the best and most affordable education.

It compared community colleges based on cost and financing, education outcomes and career outcomes.

Community colleges offer students a cheaper alternative to higher education. In the 2020-2021 academic year, tuition and fees in a public two-year college averaged $3,770 per year, versus $10,560 at a public four-year institution.

WalletHub also looked at per-pupil spending, faculty salary and student-faculty ratio.

Delaware County Community College ranked in third place for Pennsylvania, and at No. 379 nationwide with an overall score of 53.39.

In specific categories, the school placed second in the state in career outcomes, third in cost and financing, and fourth for education outcomes.

Nationwide, it ranked highest in career outcomes in No. 95.

Two neighboring colleges also ranked among the top five in Pennsylvania.

Bucks County Community College ranked highest, taking the top spot in the Keystone State, while Montgomery County came in fourth.
