P.I.T. Hosts Information Session on New Medical Sonography Program

The Pennsylvania Institute of Technology in Media is hosting an information session for the public this evening for a NEW Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program starting up in the fall.

A free virtual information session takes place this evening, Wednesday, Aug. 18, 6 to 7 p.m.

A diagnostic medical sonographer learns how to use and analyze ultrasound to form images of different parts of the body which help doctors diagnose and treat many medical conditions.

Through this new program, P.I.T. will provide the training and education needed to fulfill the duties of a diagnostic medical sonographer.

The program is also committed to graduate students capable of attaining the status of Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer.

Classes for the new program begin Oct 4.

The information session will offer program-specific details about the admission process including:

  • How to transfer credits
  • What documents are required and when
  • Pre-requisites

During the session you will meet the program director, Denise Boyle, program instructors, and P.I.T.’s Director of Admissions & Financial Aid, Laura Blomgren.
