Teachers’ Teammates Hits $100G Milestone in Classroom School Supplies

Teachers’ Teammates founder Raelyn Harman works with volunteer Emily Markley.

Teachers’ Teammates has reached a milestone by providing $100,000 in much-needed school supplies for classroom teachers, writes Peg DeGrassa for the Daily Times.

The nonprofit starting filling educators’ requests for classroom supplies last February.

“Reaching this $100,000 milestone so quickly is really a tribute the generosity of the people and businesses of Delaware County and the acknowledgement that our teachers deserve our support,” said Raelyn Harman, founder of Teachers’ Teammates. “It also is a reflection of the incredible need and reminds us of how important it is to continue and grow this organization.”

Teachers’ Teammates stores donated supplies teachers might need in their classrooms.

Educators pay a $35 membership to “shop” for free four times a year for school supplies—from headphones and dry erase boards to craft and holiday items to books and classroom decorations.

Shopping orders can be worth $500 or more.

Teachers’ Teammates focuses on schools in Delaware County with the greatest need.

Teachers’ Teammates also distributed 3,000 school-at-home bags worth $20,000 to the William Penn School District, 82 back-to-school bags valued at $3,000 to Darby Township School teachers and $168,000 worth of hand sanitizer, distributed to 2,200 teachers.
