Weekly COVID-19 Rates Continue to Drop in Delaware County

The week of May 28 to June 3 saw positive case counts of new COVID-19 cases in Delaware County drop lower but still remain above 100, according to the Chester County Health Department.

This past week showed only 123 cases, compared to 214 the week before.

A month ago, the county was experiencing weekly rates of 384 positive cases of COVID-19.

The weekly rates information comes from a 4-week rates summary provided by the Chester County Health Department.

The health department also released its most recent 4-week summary regarding COVID-19 testing in Delaware County. The positive PCR test count has also decreased this past week compared to previous weeks.

No COVID-19 county or municipal statistics, including the number of cases and COVID-19 deaths over the weekend, were available from the Chester County Health Department.

The Pennsylvania Department of Health confirmed as of noon, June 6, that there were 890 additional cases of COVID-19 statewide since Friday, June 4. The current statewide total COVID-19 cases are 1,205,692.

There were 29 additional COVID-19 deaths statewide June 6, since last reported Friday, June 4. Total deaths statewide are now 27,354.
