Ten more Delaware County residents have died from complications of COVID-19 as reported Friday, Dec. 18, by the Chester County Health Department.
Total fatalities now number 925.
Of those, 657 were in long-term care facilities and personal care homes, according to the Chester County Health Department.
Two deaths were reported from Chester, two from Marcus Hook, one death was reported from Haverford, , one from Radnor, one from Upper Chichester, one from Lansdowne, one from Norwood, and one from Sharon Hill.
At the same time, the health department reports an additional 298 positive cases for Friday.
Total number of positive COVID cases reported in the county Thursday was 25,045. On Friday, that number was 25,343.

COVID-19 fatalities have been reported in 43 of the county’s 49 municipalities.
Yeadon Borough continues to have the highest percentage of population being affected by the virus. Total cases are 880, or 7.67 percent of its 11,471 population.
Upper Darby has the most cases, with 3,989 cases reported, or 4.8 percent of Upper Darby’s 82,993 population.

The county has had 170,039 people test negative for the virus. The health department is reporting a 69.74 percent recovery rate.

- 20 to 29: 4,495 cases
- 30 to 39: 3,740 cases
- 40 to 49: 3,487 cases
- 50 to 59: 3,906 cases

- 70 to 79: 1,586 cases
- 80 and over: 1,778 cases

The Pennsylvania Department of Health confirmed as of noon, Dec. 18, that there were 9,320 new cases of COVID-19 statewide, with the total number of cases now at 538,655.
There were 216 new COVID-19 deaths reported statewide, with total deaths for Friday, Dec. 18, reported at 13,608.
