The news continues to be good out of Delaware County, write Sean Adams and Megan Lavey-Heaton for the Harrisburg Patriot-News. In a county that was looking at greater than 5% increases in new COVID-19 cases a few weeks ago, the majority of Zip codes were showing increases of under 2% the week prior to May 5.

Two Zip codes had increases above 3%.  Four Zip codes had increases above 2%.

The five Zip codes showing the largest increase as of May 5 were:

• 19029 Lester, Essington, 3.61%, 13 new cases 373 total.
• 19013 Chester Township, Chester, Eddystone 3.31%. 98 new cases 3,061 total
• 19023 Collingdale, Darby 2.39% 50 new cases 2,145 total
• 19022 Crum Lynne, Chester, Eddystone 2.22% 7 new cases 323 total
• 19018 Aldan, Primos, Secane, Clifton Heights 2.18% 40 new cases 1,871 total

The five Zip codes showing the lowest percentage increase were:

• 19017 Chester Heights 0% 0 new cases 21 total.
• 19319 Cheyney 0% 0 new cases 22 total.
• 19078 Ridley Park .4% 4 new cases 992 total.
• 19033 Folsom .59% 4 new cases 684 total.
• 19070 Morton .59% 4 new cases 572 total.

These latest numbers are compiled by the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
