There’s a battle over real estate in the Philadelphia region from out-of-towners, longtime residents and investors. Here’s three communities in or near Delaware County getting particular attention in 2021, reports Prevue Real Estate for phillyvoice.com.

Media Borough

“Everybody’s Home Town” offers suburban living with easy access to Philadelphia.

Media’s got a small town feel with a bustling down town of small businesses and restaurants.

Beyond the town center, there are properties with big lawns and homes far from streets. Historic Victorian homes compete with modern Colonial mansions.

Newtown Square

This rural suburban community is undergoing massive redevelopment with a wave of new construction condo complexes and townhouses.

It is best known for its historic single-family homes, featuring large parcels of land.

A lively commercial district at West Chester Pike and North Newtown Street Road has restaurants, shopping outlets and a Whole Foods.

You’ll also find Ridley Creek State Park and the Aronimink Golf Club.

Bryn Mawr

This Main Line community, mostly a neighbor to Delaware County, has historically been a retreat for the wealthy elite.

It has spacious Tudor, French Normandy and Colonial mansions dating back to the 1700s. New historically accurate Colonial-style mansions blend in.
