Update: Here Are the Delaware County ZIP Codes Where COVID-19 Has Spread This Last Week

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases is still increasing nationwide and across the state, with some areas of Delaware County affected more than others, write Sean Adams and Megan Lavey-Heaton for the Harrisburg Patriot-News.

The highest percentage increase in Delaware County for the seven days prior to Jan. 13 was recorded in ZIP Code 19317 (Chadds Ford). Here, the number of confirmed cases grew from 296 to 325, or 10 percent.

ZIP Code 19014 (Aston/Upper Chichester) once again recorded one of the highest rises in cases at 9 percent, rising from 890 to 972.

Meanwhile, ZIP Code 19022 (Ridley Park/Eddystone) and ZIP Code 19060 (Chester Heights) are also in the 9 percent range, increasing from 193 to 211 cases and 509 to 553 cases, respectively.

Finally, ZIP Code 19061 (Boothwyn/Marcus Hook/Chester/Trainer) is again on the list, going from 819 to 888 cases, or 8 percent.

The latest numbers compiled by the Pennsylvania Department of Health highlight the rates of COVID-19 infection in each ZIP Code statewide for the seven days ending January 13, compared with infection rates for the seven days prior.
