The ZIP Code that covers Media, Lima, and Elwyn is among the top 30 ZIP Codes in the Philadelphia area with the highest return on investment over the last decade, writes Kennedy Rose for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The entire greater Philadelphia area is considered a very hot housing market with home prices climbing steadily in recent years. According to Zillow, home values went up by 2.1 percent over just the last year alone with the region’s median home sale price now at $217,000.

Media/Lima/Elwyn ranked at No. 24 on the list that is dominated by ZIP Codes in Philadelphia proper, with a median home value of $393,100. This represents a 10-year change of 24 percent, or an increase of $75,600.

That puts Media/Lima/Elwyn’s 10-year return on investment at 138 percent, the highest in Delaware County.

According to the ranking, the Philadelphia ZIP Code that covers Point Breeze and Grays Ferry saw the highest return on investment over the last decade, with an astonishing ROI of 1,648 percent.
