State Health Department Reports a Total of 34,188 COVID-19 Cases in Delco

Pennsylvania Department of Health reported that as of Saturday there were 34,188 COVID-19 cases in Delaware County.

County and municipal COVID statistics, including the number of new cases and COVID deaths, were unavailable from the Chester County Health Department over the weekend.

On Friday, Jan. 15, the Chester County Health Department reported a total of 1,053 COVID-19-related deaths.

Of those, 693 were in long term care facilities and personal care homes, according to data from the Chester County Health Department.

The Pennsylvania Department of Health confirmed as of noon, Jan. 17, that there were now 767,800 reported cases of COVID-19 statewide, an increase of 13,189  since Friday, Jan. 15.

There were 19,310 reported deaths, up 353 since Friday, Jan 15.
