Pennsylvania Department of Health Reports More Than 35,000 COVID-19 Cases for Delaware County

No COVID-19 county or municipal statistics, including the number of new cases and COVID-19 deaths, were available from the Chester County Health Department for Saturday or Sunday, Jan. 23 and 24.

Pennsylvania Department of Health reported that as of 10 p.m., Sunday, Jan 24, there were 35,602 total cases of COVID-19 reported for Delaware County.

On Friday, Jan. 22, the Chester County Health Department reported a total of 1,076 COVID-19-related deaths.

Of those, 719 were in long term care facilities and personal care homes, according to data from the Chester County Health Department.

The Pennsylvania Department of Health confirmed as of noon, Jan. 24, that there were now 803,933 reported cases of COVID-19 statewide.

There were 20,321 reported deaths for Sunday, Jan. 24.
